David Haun is a Scottsbluff native, born and raised on the family farm east of Scottsbluff where he and Jan presently live.

DeeJay was raised in Mitchell. She attended the of University of Nebraska-Lincoln until the birth of her first child Brooke in 1992. Since then DeeJay and her husband, Andrew, a Scottsbluff attorney, have added Emily and Grant to their family. The children attend school in Morrill and Mitchell. DeeJay takes pride in her family and community. In addition to much volunteer work within the school system, DeeJay has worked with the Morrill school system as a substitute teacher and teacher and aide.
